If you want to remove your account on Cnet, a very popular and respected software download platform, you’ll see in this manual that you can easily do that by contacting the customer support team.
I’ll show you below some pictures on how I managed to delete my profile using a desktop computer.
1 Go to cnet.com and sign in
2 Scroll down to the footer and select Help center
3 Choose Submit a question
4 Select as Category: Cnet registration
And fill in the message field:
Dear Customer care team,
I have an account on cnet.com, but I would like to delete it (simply because I’m not using it anymore).
Cnet ID: (fill in your email address)
Can you please remove this account?
Kind regards,
(your name)
✅ Result
1 day later, received an email from the Cnet support that contained a form that they asked me to fill in.
You’ll need to fill in 4 things:
- Your email address
- Cnet username
- Reason for deletion
- You’ll need to type “I agree” in their form
And send it back to them. Once they received this information from you, they will close the account.
